Account Deletion
If you wish to delete your Ditto account, you can do so directly from the Ditto app. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open the Ditto app at assistant.heyditto.ai
- Sign in to your account
- Open Settings
- Navigate to the Danger Zone tab
- Click the DELETE ACCOUNT button
- A confirmation dialog will appear. Review the warning and click Delete to confirm
Once confirmed, your account deletion is scheduled and processed automatically. You will be signed out immediately.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Authentication credentials — your Firebase login (email/password, Google, or GitHub OAuth) is deleted
- Conversations & messages — all chat threads and message history
- Memory network — all stored memories and associations
- Uploaded files & images — all content stored in cloud storage (Backblaze)
- User profile — display name, email, avatar, and account settings
- Connected apps & integrations — MCP server connections and linked services
What Data Is Retained
For legal, financial, and anti-abuse purposes, the following records are retained after account deletion:
- Purchase & subscription records — transaction history and receipts for billing compliance
- Anti-abuse identity records — minimal identifiers used to prevent fraud and platform abuse
These retained records do not contain your conversations, memories, or personal content.
Important Notes
- Account deletion is irreversible. Once confirmed, your data cannot be recovered
- Deletion is processed asynchronously and typically completes within a few minutes
- You will be signed out automatically after requesting deletion
- If you have an active subscription, it will be canceled as part of the deletion process
