Ditto connects to any app your firm uses and keeps one memory of the firm, next to your practice management and legal research tools. Your team's AI assistants work from that memory, and every change waits for your approval.

No, it moved to Wednesday 21 October. Tom agreed the new date in Teams on 23 September, but the firm calendar still shows 14 October.

Where law firms lose time and client privacy
What your law firm knows is spread across people and apps, so staff lose time chasing updates for clients. An AI assistant for legal teams needs to reach every app the firm uses.
Clients repeat themselves
What clients say on a call rarely reaches the next person on the matter.
Updates sit in one inbox
Dates and updates promised to clients wait in one person's email.
Know-how leaves with staff
How intake and billing work often leaves with the person who set them up.
Client details end up in personal AI accounts
Staff paste client emails and documents into ChatGPT or Claude to get help, outside anything the firm controls.
What is an AI OS for legal teams?
An AI OS for legal teams is an AI operating system with three layers. Your firm's apps sit underneath and one memory sits in the middle. Your AI assistants and AI agents sit on top. It joins them into one platform for the firm. Your practice management software and legal research tools stay in place, and Ditto works alongside them. Anything Ditto wants to change waits for your approval. Ditto is a central brain set up for a law firm.
Each team hands Ditto the work around legal work, from communication with clients to billing. Ditto prepares it from the firm's memory, and a person approves it before anything changes. Each tab shows the outcome for that team.
Managing partner
Ask what changed across the firm's matters this week, or why a fee arrangement was agreed last spring. Ditto answers with the source for each point. Legal strategy on a matter stays with the attorney running it.
Partners start firm decisions from what the firm already knows.
Firm administrator
Staff ask Ditto about a firm policy or process and get the answer from the firm's own documents, with its source. Ask for the week's open items and Ditto prepares a summary; a post to Teams or Slack waits for approval. When someone leaves, ask for their open client promises.
Staff get routine answers from the firm's own documents.
Intake and reception
A request from a new client arrives by email. Ditto finds any earlier thread with that person and drafts a reply offering a consultation time, which waits for approval.
New clients get a reply with the earlier emails in view.
Billing
An invoice is overdue and the client says the fee was different. Whether the matter is billed by the billable hour or at a fixed fee, Ditto finds what the firm agreed across email and QuickBooks, then drafts the follow-up for approval.
Every billing follow-up starts from what the client agreed.
Lawyers and paralegals
Ask Ditto what was agreed with clients on the last call. It finds the dates and agreed actions in meeting notes and email and shows the sources. Then it drafts a status update for the lawyer to approve. Legal advice and legal research stay with the attorneys. So does drafting legal documents.
Client updates carry the dates the lawyer already set.
How Ditto works in a law firm
AI for law firms with Ditto starts read-only. You decide what it may change.
1
Connect your firm's apps
Sign in to any tool your firm uses. Ditto starts read-only in each one.
2
Ditto builds one memory
It keeps what each connected app holds in one memory of the firm.
3
Ask, then approve
Ask in the Ditto app or in ChatGPT or Claude. Ditto answers with sources, and changes wait for your approval.
Law firms use legal AI platforms and general AI assistants for parts of this work. Ditto adds one memory of the firm under both, as AI for law firms that runs alongside them.
Legal AI and practice management
Harvey and Legora help attorneys research legal questions and draft documents. Clio Manage keeps a firm's matters and billing in one place.
ChatGPT and Claude
General AI assistants keep memory per person or per project.
Ditto
One memory under those assistants and your firm's apps, alongside the legal AI your firm uses. It prepares the firm's work for human review and waits for your approval. It does not do legal research or give legal advice. Private inference in the Ditto app, and nothing is used to train AI models.
Connect Ditto with over 1,400 apps
Connect any app your firm works in and it joins the firm's memory. Examples include Outlook and QuickBooks. Don't see your app? Ditto connects to any app through native connectors and MCP.
AI assistants for legal teams are AI tools that help a firm with the work around legal work. Client updates and invoice follow-ups are two examples. With Ditto, AI for law firms works from one memory of your firm, so each task starts from what clients and staff already said. Every change Ditto wants to make waits for your approval.
What does an AI OS for legal work do in a firm?
Take a client who emails to ask whether an appointment still stands. Ditto finds the latest date in the firm's apps and answers with its sources. If the calendar is out of date, it drafts the fix alongside the reply to the client, and both wait for a person at your firm to approve them.
Is an AI OS safe to use with client information?
Ditto starts read-only and only reads the apps you connect. By default, every change is reviewed by a person before it happens, and what Ditto remembers is not used to train AI models. You can choose zero-data-retention models and keep a separate memory for each client or project. Temporary chats are not saved. Legal advice stays with your attorneys.
Can we run Ditto on our own server?
Running Ditto on your own infrastructure is an option to discuss with our team, for law firms that need client information kept on site. Get in touch about your setup. In the Ditto app, models run through private inference, and you can choose models whose provider keeps no copy.
Why do AI assistants forget what our firm told them?
AI assistants work from what fits in their context windows: the recent turns of the conversation history and whatever you paste in. ChatGPT and Claude keep memory per person or per project. Ditto keeps one memory of the firm across every AI tool you connect, so each assistant starts from what the legal team already told it.
How does Ditto's memory work?
Ditto saves what it learns as memories and organises them into a knowledge graph of subjects. A client is one subject, and a matter is another. When someone asks a question, Ditto finds the relevant memories by semantic similarity in its vector database and ranks them. It adds the best matches to the model's context window, after the system prompt.
Can we choose which tasks run without approval?
Yes. By default, every change Ditto wants to make in a connected app waits for a person at your firm to approve it. You choose which routine actions can run on their own, and everything else stays in the approval queue.
Can I use ChatGPT or Claude with Ditto in my firm?
Yes. Connect the firm's ChatGPT or Claude accounts to Ditto over MCP. Inside them, Ditto recalls the firm's memory and saves what it learns, so each chat starts from what your team already knows. In the Ditto app you can also use every major foundation model.
Which AI models does Ditto use?
Ditto doesn't train its own foundation models. In the Ditto app you choose from foundation models such as GPT and Claude. On Pro and Team you can also bring your own model key. What Ditto remembers about your firm is not used to train AI models.
Which apps does Ditto connect to?
Any app. Ditto has native connectors for common apps and connects to the rest over MCP. Start with email and calendar. Outlook and Google Workspace are common starting points. Add billing and team chat next, then shared documents. Client emails and invoices then sit in one memory of the firm.
Does Ditto connect to our practice management system?
Your practice management system stays the firm's record system, and Ditto works alongside it. Ditto connects to any app through native connectors and MCP, including MCP servers your firm approves. Talk to us about your setup, and we will look at how your firm's systems connect.
Does Ditto give legal advice?
No. Ditto handles the work around legal work. Meeting dates and client updates are typical examples. Legal advice and legal research stay with your attorneys, and so does drafting legal documents. Every draft is reviewed and approved by a person at your firm before anything changes.
Is our data used to train AI models?
No. What Ditto remembers about your firm is not used to train AI models. You can see and edit any memory in the Ditto app. You can also delete a memory or export your memory at any time, and disconnecting an app stops Ditto reading it.
What does Ditto cost?
Ditto offers Pro and Enterprise plans for law firms. Enterprise is a custom build, planned around how your firm is set up. Memory uses credits and funded storage, with no monthly read or write count quotas. See Ditto pricing for the current plans and what each one includes.
