Every team in your store works from the same answers
Ditto connects to any app your store uses and keeps one memory of how the store runs. Your team's AI assistants answer from that memory, and anything Ditto wants to change waits for your approval.

Where ecommerce stores lose time and customer data privacy
What your online store knows is spread across people and apps, so staff lose time chasing order updates and supplier dates. An AI assistant for ecommerce needs to reach every app the store uses.
Customers repeat themselves
What a customer was told sits in old emails, so each new reply starts from scratch.
Supplier dates sit in one inbox
Restock updates wait until one person reads them, so product pages go out of date.
Know-how leaves with staff
How returns exceptions and supplier contacts work often leaves with the person who set them up.
Customer data ends up in personal AI accounts
Staff paste orders and customer emails into ChatGPT or Claude, outside anything the store controls.
What is an AI OS for ecommerce?
An AI OS for ecommerce is an AI operating system with three layers. Your store's apps sit underneath and one memory sits in the middle. The AI assistants and AI agents your team uses sit on top. Together they work as one platform for the store. Ditto reads every app you connect. Every assistant and agent you connect works from that memory, and changes wait for your approval. Ditto works for your store's team, behind the storefront. Ditto is a central brain set up for a store.
You choose which models see your store's data and what Ditto may change.
Where your store's data goes
Private inference in the Ditto appModels in the Ditto app run through encrypted, private inference, so your data is not handed to the big AI companies.
Zero-data-retention modelsChoose models whose provider keeps no copy.
Temporary chatsStart a chat that is not saved to memory.
Not used to train AI modelsWhat Ditto remembers about your store is not used to train AI models.
What Ditto can do
Read-only by defaultDitto reads only the apps and accounts you connect. Disconnect an app and Ditto stops reading it.
You approve every changeAnything Ditto wants to write waits for a person to review it. You can let routine actions run on their own.
Separate memory per clientKeep a separate memory for each client or project, such as a second brand, so one never sees another.
Team memory stays when someone leavesWhat your team saves to shared memory stays with the store when a person leaves.
Edit or delete any memory, or export your whole memory at any time. Ditto's memory harness and integrations are open source. How Ditto handles your data →
AI assistants for every team in your store
Pick a team to see the store work Ditto prepares for it. A person approves each draft before anything changes in a connected app. Each tab shows the outcome for that team.
Store owner
Ask what changed in store operations and sales this week. Ditto answers from the apps you connect with a source for each point, such as a price change agreed in Slack last month.
You see why the numbers moved without asking around the team.
Customer support
Order tracking and returns questions arrive across multiple channels, as support tickets in Gorgias and customer messages by email. Ditto finds the order status in Shopify and any supplier email that moved the date, then drafts the reply for a support agent to check.
Each reply starts from the customer history and what they were told before.
Operations and fulfillment
Supplier and 3PL emails carry the restock dates that inventory management depends on. Ditto matches each date to its product and drafts the product-page and customer updates for approval, so inventory data stays current. Each Monday it prepares a summary of open supplier orders in the Ditto app. A Slack post of that summary waits for approval.
Product pages match what suppliers last told you.
Marketing and merchandising
Draft product descriptions and Klaviyo campaign copy from what the store already knows about a product. Supplier notes and the questions customers keep asking sit in that memory as product data. Each draft waits for approval before it reaches your product catalogs.
New product copy starts from real customer questions.
Finance
Ask why refunds rose in QuickBooks this month. Ditto finds the reason in email or Slack, such as a batch of damaged stock, and drafts the follow-up to that supplier for approval.
Finance gets the reason behind each number, with its source.
How Ditto works in an ecommerce store
Ditto starts read-only in your store. You decide what it may change.
1
Connect your store's apps
Sign in to any app your store uses. Ditto starts read-only in each one.
2
Ditto builds one memory
It keeps what each connected app holds in one memory of the store, and keeps it current.
3
Ask, then approve
Ask in the Ditto app or in ChatGPT or Claude. Ditto answers with sources and waits for your approval before it changes anything.
Stores already use AI for ecommerce and ecommerce automation, such as AI features in the store platform and support automation in the helpdesk. Ditto keeps one memory of the store under the AI assistants your team connects.
Store platform and helpdesk AI
Shopify Sidekick is an AI assistant inside the Shopify admin. Gorgias AI Agent answers support conversations using a store's Shopify data.
ChatGPT and Claude
General AI assistants keep memory per person or per project. Shopper-facing AI agents such as Rep AI handle sales and support conversations with shoppers.
Ditto
One memory under those AI tools and your store's apps. It prepares the store's work and waits for your approval. Private inference in the Ditto app, and nothing is used to train AI models.
Connect Ditto with over 1,400 apps
Connect any app your store works in and it joins the store's memory. Examples include Shopify and Gorgias. Don't see your app? Ditto connects to any app through native connectors and MCP.
The phrase covers two kinds of tool. AI shopping assistants and chatbots talk to shoppers on the storefront. AI assistants for the store's team help ecommerce businesses with customer queries and supplier follow-ups. Ditto is the second kind: AI for ecommerce that works from one memory of your store, and by default every change waits for your approval.
What does an AI operating system do in an ecommerce store?
It sits between your store's apps and the AI assistants your team uses, holding one memory of how the store runs. When a customer asks about a late pre-order, Ditto finds the supplier's new date in email and sees that the product page is out of date. It drafts the reply and the product-page fix for approval.
Is an AI OS safe to use with customer data?
Ditto reads only the apps you connect and starts read-only in each one. By default, every change waits for a person at your store to approve it. What Ditto remembers from customer interactions is not used to train AI models, and you can pick zero-data-retention models or start a temporary chat that is not saved.
How can AI be used in ecommerce?
AI in ecommerce splits into two jobs. Some tools work with shoppers on product search and storefront chat. Others help the store's team with back office work and repetitive tasks like customer inquiries and supplier follow-ups, which need the store's history from every app. Ditto keeps that history in one memory and drafts the work for approval.
Why do AI assistants forget what our store told them?
AI systems only see what fits in the context window: recent turns of the conversation history plus anything pasted in. ChatGPT and Claude keep memory per person or per project, so what your support lead told one chat does not reach anyone else. Ditto holds one memory of the store that every connected AI tool draws on.
How does Ditto's memory work?
Ditto saves what it learns as memories and organises them into a knowledge graph of subjects. A subject can be a supplier or a product line. When someone asks a question, Ditto finds relevant memories by semantic similarity in its vector database and ranks them. It adds the best matches to the model's context window, after the system prompt.
Can we choose which tasks run without approval?
Yes. Out of the box, anything Ditto wants to change in a connected app goes to a person at your store for approval. You choose the routine actions that may run on their own. Everything else waits in the approval queue until someone on your team reviews it.
Can I use ChatGPT or Claude with Ditto in my store?
Yes. Connect ChatGPT or Claude to Ditto over MCP. Ditto then recalls the store's memory inside those chats and saves what your team learns there. Private inference applies to the models you use inside the Ditto app, where you can also pick any major foundation model.
Which AI models does Ditto use?
Ditto doesn't train its own foundation models. In the Ditto app you choose from every major model. GPT and Gemini are two examples. You can also bring your own model key on Pro and Team. What Ditto remembers about your store is not used to train AI models.
Which apps does Ditto connect to?
Any app. Ditto has native connectors for common apps and reaches the rest over MCP. For example, Shopify stores might start with Gmail and Gorgias. Accounting and team chat can follow. If an app has an MCP server your store approves, Ditto can connect to that as well.
Does Ditto connect to our store platform?
Your ecommerce platform and order management systems stay the record of orders and products, and Ditto works alongside them. Shopify and WooCommerce are common examples. Ditto connects to any app through native connectors and MCP, including MCP servers your store approves. Talk to us about your setup.
Which AI is best for ecommerce?
The best AI for ecommerce depends on the job. For shopper-facing chat, compare shopping assistants. For the work behind the storefront, judge AI platforms by whether they can read the apps your team relies on and whether their changes wait for a person to approve them.
Is our data used to train AI models?
No. What Ditto remembers about your store is not used to train AI models. You can edit or delete any memory at any time, and export your whole memory as a signed Ditto Passport when you want a copy of it.
What does Ditto cost?
Ecommerce brands and stores can choose Pro or Enterprise, which is a custom build planned around the store. Memory uses credits and funded storage, with no monthly read or write count quotas. The Ditto pricing page lists the current plans and what each one includes.
