Do I have to organise or maintain it?

No. Ditto builds memory from your conversations, filing what matters under subjects and linking related context in the background. You do not need to tag every message or keep a folder system up to date.

How does recall actually work?

Ditto looks for memories related to what you ask, then ranks the matches to find useful context. Linked subjects connect people, projects and decisions, so recall can bring back the context around a memory, not just one isolated message.

Is it just vector search?

No. Semantic search helps find relevant memories, but Ditto also organises them into a graph of subjects and links. You can see and explore those connections in your memory network.
