Ditto just got a major upgrade. And I’m not talking about a new feature or a fresh coat of paint—I’m talking about what happens under the hood.

We rebuilt Ditto from the ground up. The result? An app that’s faster, lighter, and smoother than ever before.

What You’ll Notice

Let me cut to the chase. Here’s what this means for you:

These aren’t marketing numbers pulled from a lab. We tested this obsessively, side-by-side, on real devices. The difference is night and day.

How We Got Here

Here’s where it gets interesting.

We didn’t just optimize a few things and call it a day. We rewrote Ditto from scratch using modern web technology. The old foundation was good, but the new one is great.

The secret weapon? Claude Code—Anthropic’s AI coding assistant. It let us move at a pace that would’ve been impossible otherwise. What normally takes weeks took days. What takes days took hours.

But speed wasn’t the only advantage. We also automated our testing using Chrome browser tools that let us run the old and new versions side-by-side, measuring everything from memory usage to how fast the first pixel hits your screen. We caught bugs before you ever would have seen them.
