Use Trello context in Claude Code
A manual context handoff through Ditto memory, not a direct Trello-to-Claude connector. You choose what to share and keep the source card up to date.
Select the source material
Open the Trello card yourself. Copy the relevant title, description, checklist, and card URL. Include the date you copied it. Do not include secrets, private customer data, or other material you are not allowed to share.
Connect Claude Code to Ditto memory
Follow the Claude Code integration guide linked below. Add the Ditto MCP server, authenticate with your Ditto account, and review the permissions granted. This connects Ditto memory, not your Trello board.
Create a brief from the selected details
Paste the selected details into Claude Code and ask it to draft a brief with the goal, constraints, acceptance criteria, source URL, and unanswered questions. Review the brief, then ask the agent to save the approved version in Ditto memory. Confirm the save succeeds.
Retrieve it in the next session
Ask Claude Code to search Ditto for the saved brief before proposing a change. Compare it with the current Trello card and resolve any differences. Ask the agent to identify missing context rather than filling gaps with guesses.
Check your first request
Try one non-sensitive sample card. Save a short brief, start another Claude Code session, and retrieve it by project name. Compare the goal and acceptance criteria with your source card. A successful memory save does not update Trello.
If something doesn’t work
- No saved brief returned? Check the signed-in Ditto account and the memory access granted to Claude Code.
- A card URL alone is not enough: paste the selected content instead of assuming the agent can access a private board.
- If the card changed after the brief was saved, review and update the brief manually.
