Connect Ditto to Slack
Use the Ditto app inside Slack. This is separate from connecting Slack history or configuring a Slack AI MCP connector.
Open the Slack connection
In Ditto, open Settings, then Apps. Find Slack and open its connection details. In the Ditto bot section, choose Connect Slack. If Slack is unavailable, stop and ask support about availability for your account.
Authorize the workspace
Complete Slack’s authorization screen for the correct workspace. Review the access requested and ask your administrator if installation needs approval. Return to Ditto and confirm the workspace appears as connected.
Link your personal account
Open a direct message with the Ditto app in Slack and ask a question. On first use, follow the account-linking prompt and sign in to your Ditto account. Workspace installation and personal account linking are separate steps.
Try it in a channel
In an appropriate channel, invite Ditto with /invite @Ditto, then mention @Ditto with your question. You can also use /ditto followed by a question. Review the workspace’s memory settings before using shared context.
Check your first request
In a direct message, share a non-sensitive test decision: “Our example workshop starts with a short exercise.” Later, ask Ditto what format you chose. Confirm the answer matches before trying real project material.
If something doesn’t work
- Not seeing Slack in Apps? Availability can depend on account configuration.
- Installation rejected? Ask your Slack administrator to review app access.
- Wrong or missing memory? Check which Ditto account you linked and which shared workspace is selected.
- No reply in a channel? Confirm Ditto is invited and address it explicitly.
